As with any progressive company, we are fully aware of the need to invest in IT. We have set up our own IT department to meet our specific demands and build our own bespoke systems.
We have developed our own traffic system to provide which provides the infrastructure to meet their demanding 'live time' deliveries and costing parameters.
This enables them to see at any time the progress and situation of 'live' orders and actual cost %. Our system works in conjunction with one of our customers systems to enable us to increase productivity and reduce costs whilst speeding up the 'order to delivery' process.
Robsons are working towards a paperless system and have embarked on this by installing document scanning systems at our two largest sites - Head Office in Spalding and Kings Lynn which are our dry freight and multiple delivery offices.
Eventually, this will enable our customers to retrieve their own PODs from our systems.
